Seriously, is someone having a laugh?? Did this (well didn't manage to get off the ground) in class today. What the actual?!?

Um... I don't understand your question. Are you saying it was too easy or too hard?

There is someone in my yoga class who makes this pose look ridiculously easy..... I feel your pain difficult move one day I may get there......

Funny that there seems to be many different ways to do this pose. Cece's is certainly different than this and this, for example.

I'm assuming it's the advanced version chatarunga arms and legs lifted? I can't get my feet off the ground.....

Oh God, if only it was one of those lying down versions! No it had hands spread beneath rib cage, elbows up and trying to touch behind back (lying face down), then trying to lift off the ground being lifted by your hips. I haven't explained it very well, because I think it is actually impossible .

Late to this thread, but I wonder if carrie is talking about Nakrasana, a pose from the Intermediate Series of Ashtanga yoga, where from chaturanga you hop five times forwards and five times back, lifting the whole body, hands and feet and everything, off the floor. It is quite challenging and not something I'd expect to see in a general class as it can be quite taxing on the lower back if there's not enough core strength.
