UK weekend retreat

Has anyone been on a weekend retreat that they would recommend?
What are they like? I would go solo.

Same, I'd love to go. I've seen some advertised but would rather go on recommendation.

A friend of mine, who has been on a LOT of retreats, hugely recommends Love Yoga Bum. They do retreats in the Cotswolds, and further afield (eg Turkey)

I'd love to find out about the one in Turkey. Off Googling.

Love Yoga Bum looks great, except that the retreat "includes: No Alcohol, Caffeine, Meat, Lactose, Gluten, Refined Sugar.. Price: £860 based on sharing"

Err... what? No meat, wheat, or dairy products? What on earth do they expect people to eat for food?

That was the retreat in South of France, by the way. No chance of that kind of diet finding traction anywhere in Turkey

I've never done a residential one but did a 2 day London one with Lisa Sanfillippo. She's got some retreats coming up. She's an amazing teacher so I'd highly recommend and she certainly seems to have fun on her trips.

You could try Fair Oak Farm, near Mayfield, East Sussex. www.fairoakfarm.co.uk Speak to the owner, Ian... not sure if they organise retreats themselves or have retreat organisers do it for them but I know they've had a few retreats there and it's a superb venue and location.
