I'm just finishing what's ended up being a two-year stint at a lovely, local secondary school. It was a temp contract but the SL really wanted to keep me on: unfortunately, due to timetabling and curriculum issues there aren't enough hours. I'm gutted.

There's nothing else out there. I just applied for a p/t temp job and didn't even get shortlisted.

Anyone else in a similar position? I teach MFL btw.

No, me too. Lovely job at the mo in study support but couldn't reapply due to child care problems (the hours hae increased). I've applied for over thirty jobs and only had 2 interviews, totally fed up!!!!! I'm a primary teacher.

DH nabbed laptop.

It's grim isn't it? I mean, we won't starve but I think the more time away from exam classes, the harder it'll be to get something in the future.

Yes, I know what you mean, I've still got a term to finish of my NQT year, so that puts pressure on me! I've never done supply go I might enjoy it.
