Could anyone tell me their successful career change stories please?

My employers...don't have any work for me...so here I am, sat at my desk, doing....whatever.

I am actually doing lots of archiving, there has to be a better way, don't clear any money post chldcare anyway so what is the point?

I think the key thing is to find something you love doing. Then any sacrifices to be taken in name of career change are all fine. What do you fancy doing instead?

Hi,
I myself have changed career several times. The first few times because I followed my husband abroad, so I had to adapt to what I could do with my skills in a new country. I turned myself from IT business consultant into Corporate Responsibility and Community officer for a large firm in India, then into a programme manager in a UK thinktank in the area of Corporate Responsibility, then into a tutor and researcher in Corp. Resp. in a business school. I have now gone free lance and am turning myself in a Women and Work expert by starting my own webcommunity Mum & Career (come and have a look). For my community I just happened to run into this wonderful website: careershifters.org, do go and check it out as it has got super career change stories on it!
