In 10 minutes I can go home

I have sat here with nothing to do all day because some director in this company has decided that he doesn't want his staff to attend my training courses. So today was cancelled, and they have nothing else for me to do.

I have scheduled the courses for next week (we do 3 per day, 3 days a week) and right now I don't know what is happening with them, because the high powered meeting that is supposed to come to a decision hasn't finished yet.

I couldn't go home, cos I'm on a freelance contract, and if i'm not here, I don't get paid.

So I'm tired, fed-up aand just suffering zero job-satisfaction right now.

Yes, it is better now... and very quiet - DD has shut herself in the back garden, and I'm watching through the window as she tries to suss out the door handle [evil grin]

I've spent the day trying to speak to foreign doctors (mainly Polish/Hungarian/Russian) and trying to organise their travel for a conference. But they don't speak good english. It's been hard. Esp when they keep saying 'absent'

More like a rush of embarrassment, actually.

We were just bring dd home from her last day of nursery (we're moving over the summer), so I had an armful of pictures, model etc, and the odd tear in my eye , and ds decided he just couldn't be bothered to walk the last 10 yards. I couldn't carry him, so he found the energy to walk again, in the wrong direction!

My usual touch is to wait for him to come back, but today he didn't bother, so eventually I start walking after him (bearing in mind dd has gone to the back door of our house by now), and ds enjoys the game. Then runs out in front of the car, as previous post. Is then frogmarched home, with a minor wait for him to lie on the pavement in protest.

All observed by nursery parents, neighbours, the world and his wife.
