Just wondering - possibly depends on the trust you work for but do you get enhanced pay on paternity leave or just statutory?

Depending on how long you've been working for the trust you normally get full pay for the two weeks. Worth checking with HR?

thanks HappySeven. DH is a dr and claiming his paternity leave is unpaid which just doesn't sound right as NHS benefits are usually quite good. He would at least get statutory paternity pay.

If he's hospital based then he definitely qualifies but I don't know about GPs although as you say, there must be at least stat pay. I've finished work (now on Mat leave) otherwise I'd look on our intranet for you to see what it says. Can you Google his trust website?
