Are there any decent working from home jobs out there?

I have extensive PC skills and was a PA in the City for 10 years 4 years ago. I also speak/write/read Italian, as my parents are Italian and I studied it to A level. What can I do??? We really need some extra money but the DCs are still young and I'd like to be at home with them for a little while longer yet if possible. I'd do anything!! I'd welcome some ideas please.

Maybe not the right place to ask for advice then?

Homeworking.com is a good place for anyone in a similar situation.

There was a good article on flexi-working in the Guardian last weekend - it mentioned some companies I've never heard of here

Depends on what you want to do, how much time you want to put in etc etc. There are lots of "data-entry", "home PA" advertised on the internet but all appear to be scams.

Maybe you could look at teaching Italian from home?

Or you could look at Direct Sales opportunities - there are loads out there, I do Usborne () and have done Kleeneze (); if you want any info on my experience with these and why I love one and hate other just PM me.

Just thought as well - if your Italian is good enough maybe you could do some translation work freelance.

Good luck

Yes - I agree with the direct selling suggestion - I do Usborne too. I have a 2-year-old and focus on going to toddler groups etc. So he gets to play with other little ones, and I earn money with no childcare to pay! Oh and he LOVES the free books!!!

Let me know if you want details! [email protected]
