Research - what are your experiences of going back to work?

My son is 13 months old. I'm a director of a small family business and I'm in the process of completing my MBA. I really hope you can help with my dissertation research!

I'm focusing on the experiences of women returning to work after having children - particularly senior managers / professionals in small and medium sized businesses - and whether they think it's possible to have a challenging role whilst balancing family responsibilities. I also want to find out whether there's anything more that businesses can do to keep women at work after having children.

If you work in a small to medium sized company (up to 250 employees), are in middle or senior management, and you have children or you're expecting, I would really love to hear from you.

I'm new to mumsnet so not sure if this is the best way to make contact but I have my fingers crossed. I would be really, really grateful for any responses (my deadline is approaching alarmingly quickly!), all of which can be treated in confidence.

Thank you!

Hi wheresmypaddle - thanks ever so much for replying - it would be great to hear about your experiences. Email address would be fab. I made you a mumsnet friend ... not sure if that's the right way to go about getting in touch?!
