help - any police officers about?

ive got the police assessment centre coming up next week, i am so nervous.

one of the things i'll be doing is the structured interview - its the first thing ive got on the day, followed by the written tests, then the interactive role plays then the PIR tests last - the competencies i have to demonstrate at interview are:

team working
resilience
respect for race and diversity
problem solving

i am literally living and breathing this and will be so glad when its over - im trying desperately to think of several examples i can call upon to demonstrate my abilities...(or lack of, lol)
ive got some good examples, ive got a special needs son, and am a special constable, but i cannot think of a good team working example - ive never been a cog in a wheel and mostly have worked alone.
im thinking of an example but am worried its a bit weak, what sort of team working eg will they need? i answered the application form with one about stock taking....not sure if i need a new one for the interview?

everything depends on this one day and im sick with nerves - and im normally really ok with interviews etc, but am so scared! I have some good examples of everything else but the more i think about team working the more i cant think of anything at all....and i cant even start to think about the interactive role plays...

any serving bobbies got any tips? please!

no seriously - i strongly suspect this is my calling. i just dont want to cock it up on the day...

ive got some pretty good ideas/answers for the interview questions(except that team work one!) and i can usually talk the hind leg off a donkey so im hoping i dont dry up or waffle...

the role plays are scaring me to death - it seems so false - yet dealing with people is normally my forte - just am scared ill let the nerves get to me and go blank. i just want it to be over!

re team work...i'm sure its fine to say that you're not hugely experienced in working in a large team, but you are part of a family who work well together.. does your sons sn mean you work with health profs eg..speech therapist? physio? his teachers/carers/ta? its not team work as such, but is being very involved working with people towards the one same happy outcome ie the well being of your son?

i too am very much a people person who deals with all sorts that comes my way....but in role play? i'm rubbish! i guess it may not be so bad doing it with other people you don't know?

actually chimchar that might be ok - yes i had to work with lots of other professionals with regards to my sons SN, all for one common goal - so i guess that could work?

or i could use an eg. about when i had to stay late at work with some other volunteers to do a stock take after a buy out.

or i could use an eg. about my current boss running his shops on a skeleton staff for the last few months so weve all had to pull together, take on more hours and responsibility...

not sure which one i should focus on for the best outcome.

I'm not in the police but know a few serving and ex officers.

Do you have any hand overs that rely on your information for successful prosecution / case loads?

Sorry, do not know much about special officers, so do not know if this is relevant.

My dh is a police officer and was in a right old state about the assessment centre. He got himself so wound up that on the day he had a terrible migraine. He had to excuse himself several times, including during an interview to vomit.

He got in.

i cant relax at all about it - im even dreaming about it.
only a few days to go then i can forget about it. i think im overthinking it tbh....

hormonalmum ive never done a handover package as yet - i wish i had now as id have used that as an example - bit late now! (unless i get the uniform on and run out and arrest someone! now! )

am i glad thats over!

now ive just got to stop myself going over and over and over it until i convince myself i failed.
which im already doing....

i had to take nurofen half way through as my head felt like it was gonna explode! am now planning do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day.
except chill.
