Couldn't wait to get back to work when DS was 10-5 months old but one year, four months later I wish I was at home with him. It doesn't help that work is really quiet and the atmosphere is shite. Only three months to go though as my mat leave starts in October - and I doubt I'll be back.

I am happy to be working, and wouldn't want to be at home. BUT ds wakes at 5am every morning and really, this has changed my life. I am always tired and only just about coping. We go to bed at 9pm! But I have a good life, and ds and dh are happy. I would like not to be tired all the time though.

Trying for dc2 now and looking forward to Mat Leave already! That is what keep me going.

and all my working mummy friends feel the same; tired and wondering why we bother to flog ourselves. We were so motivated to return to work. But now I wonder why.

I thought I would love going back and found being a mum and not working really hard for the first couple of months (and the thoughts of it throughout pregnancy!). But due to go back in 4 weeks and DREADING it. DD will be 7 months and just cannot imagine not being with her. Have been in and out of work throughout ML and love my job, but cannot believe I won't be with DD every day

Actually yes, love going to work. It's only 4 days a week though and local so not too long a commute, but I love it. No children to look after, can go to the loo in peace, eat lunch in peace. It's great.
