I think I'm about to be made redundant

Am a City lawyer, Corporate. All the signs are that I might be made redundant in the next couple of weeks. I don't love my job but wonder what else I'm qualified for? Any Corporate lawyers out there who've done something different?

You could get an in house lawyer gig in a specific industry. We are a big media company - don't want to state what, but we have a huge in house legal team that come from backgrounds as diverse as legal aid to corporate law - some are trained up paralegals that have qualified whilst working FT.

It would mean you were working on a more limited range of contracts I suppose, but what you might like more is feeling part of a company that is making a product....and you are part of that process and family working towards one goal - working alongside people with very varied skillsets outside law.

Sorry to hear thing are looking rocky for you.
