I am currently on AML (left for Mat.leave on the 27th Sept) and spoke to my boss on Monday as wanted an update on the business. He said that it was going badly, so badly, he was closing the business down, and effectively, I was now redundant.

He sent me a letter dated the 27th March to confirm this. Obviously we had the conversation this Mondday just gone, which was, quite clearly NOT the 27th March.

We have agreed to meet on Monday to finalise things.

Can anyone help me with what (if anything) I am entitled to? We had agreed I would go back to work 1st week in september initially.

Thanks so much

Sorry to hear this

or citizens advice will be your best bets, but if he is closing the company down/has declared bankrupcy I doubt there is much you can do.

He can hardly keep the business going just because you are on maternity leave. The 27th MArch date sounds odd, but perhaps he just got it wrong or had been planning to close in March but tried to keep going.
