Tiredness, suggestions? Teachers?

Hi everyone, have recently gone back to work, as a teacher, four days a week. DS is just 6 months today and DD is 3. Any other mums out there who have any tips on how to cope with the tiredness? Am so exhausted every morning when I get up at 6 I feel ill. Am still bfeeding and don't want to give up and am having to plan lessons etc in the evenings. Dh being fairly helpful (doing the shopping and making lunches) but I feel about 100 years old! Any advice gratefully received.

i work full time as teacher, went back when first was one. my 2 are now 10 and 8, it gets so much easier, i promise! Top tip, slap on the lippy and keep some in your cupboard at school. nothing worse than some well meaning colleague saying you look tired! also just repeat mantra, 'i need the money'xx

I went back to teaching a few classes when dd1 was 5 months and then again 3 days a week when dd2 was 6 months and dd1 was then just 2. Spent the first year completely knackered - didn't help that i was walking to get a bus with the children and then walking to work from the bus station then taking them to the college nursery before getting into work feeling like i had done a whole day's work already. It DOES get easier. I look back and wonder how i did it, i remember crying a few times in the staff room cos i was so tired and just didn't know how i was going to get everything done. Now my dds are 3 and 4 and it has gotten easier each year. Still hard work but different. Snacks are good, esp nuts, i always have food on my desk - and carry a bottle of water around all day with me. Also, i love my job which helps .
