Can you tell me how quickly you generally respond to your clients' emails?

Say, I emailed you (assuming you check emails every day) and asked for an update.

Just out of interest really.

I have given some work to a freelancer and she sometimes takes a fortnight to come back to me. To top it all I have had an email from her today complaining that I have not been in touch with her! I last spoke to her around a month ago and gave her my instructions - shouldn't she be in touch with me with an update of what she is doing?

For the record I have complained about the lack of attention and reminded her that I am her client and as such need to receive the services I am paying for.....am I going mad??

I respond within 24 hours. Usually within 6-8 and that's if I'm offsite.

If I left it any longer I would forget.

thanks twenty (cute name)

I respond to my emails within 24 hours as it is a courtesy, commercially right and also because I would also forget too....

Gotta say, a fortnight is absolutely mad. Even someone freelancing part time should check their emails every day IMHO. You never know what might come up!

I agree a fortnight is bonkers. I'm a freelancer. I'm an email junky, if I'm here I'll respond straight away. If not, as soon as I turn my laptop on!

within the hour generally, i'm working for you not the other way round. if out, by end of working day.
