No I don't think so - it's a separate contract. Tell her to check out the ACAS website - its usually pretty good on all these sort of issues

I think it's fine, but it's a bit late at night to remember all this. The tax shouldn't be affected. If she got a company redundancy payment there might be something in the ts and cs saying that she can't work for the company again for a year etc. Sometimes get this with big companies.
