CRB Check

Hi

Not sure where to put this but I want to do voluntary work (needed for medical school application) and therefore need to have an enhanced CRB check.

During searches on the internet it seems that mistakes can be made and fingerprints can be asked for.

I don't like the sound of having to give fingerprints and worried that incorrect info could come back.

Anyone had any experiences?

Have never had any problems with mine (am a teacher). Have never heard of being asked to give fingerprints; if you don't have a criminal record it normally goes through very painlessly.

never had any problem with mine, I work in a school... in fact I don't know anyone that has had a problem with it...

Hi

Thanks very much for that - makes me feel much less worried.

I don't have a record of any kind but was worried when found people mentioning fingerprints and wrong information coming back on CRB checks.

Do you know how long they take to come back?

Thanks

P

I've had 3 CRB checks done in the last 3 years (I'm teacher) and I've never been asked for my fingerprints.

The first two took about 2 weeks to come back and the most recent one took about 5 weeks as it was towards the end of the school year, and so loads of people are moving jobs and having them done.
