Ok, can anyone design me a website and use my hosting provider?

The website designers I have looked at all include hosting and I have alredy bought my domain and hosting package. I need someone to design a really basic site and be able to use FTP to get it onto the shared server.

Does anyone know how I can go about this? Or do any of you offer such a service?

Thanks

try uk business forums (www)loads of webdesigners and give advice

I could do it for you - but not immediately as I'm in the middle of a branding/web-build job with another web-build in the wings. If you're not in a "got to be this week" rush, feel free to CAT me. Once the site's designed, your tame geek just needs the username and password for your domain with your host so they can upload the site. I'm sure I remember seeing others on here who offer this service - so you're bound to get someone.

Depends where you live and what you want to spend. I found a great web designer through a local women's business network. She's in Cambridge - Catfish Web Design. Must be lots of other out there. Try to get a recommendation.

I am a website and 3d graphics designer and can build a site for you. I'm independent so you will get one to one service and be happy with your site.

Just email me and I can get back to you with details.

Thanks

Squonk's dp wants web design work and is also looking at doing a few freebies to build up a 'portfolio'..could you CAT her?

futurity · 05/02/2009 18:38

I am also a web designer who works with my other half who does all the techie stuff! We have done a few sites for mumsnet people with their own hosting or on ours so either way is not a problem. Give me a CAT if you want to chat!

fryalot · 05/02/2009 19:28

hi.

As fred said my dp is considering setting himself up as a web designer.

He's done web design and associated techie stuff for about 18 years but has recently become unemployed so he is now thinking about going solo.

He was thinking about doing a few websites FOC so that he would be able to use them in adverts and the like.

If you want me to ask him to do one for you, cat me or email me on [email protected]

(thanks fred)

Hi

if you still need help, my DH may be able to build one for you.

He builds websites that will allow you to update content or add new articles yourself as and when you need it (and he said, for a simple one, he'll do it for circ. 550).

just email me, and i'll forward it to him for more info.
