This year for the first time our trust has said no flu jabs for community staff. You can only have it if you work on the wards.
i cannot understand the logic of this as i currently have a caseload of about 30 clients, and i see on average about 15 of those every week (only work part time).
The wards on the other hand only have 10 to 12 patients on them!!
I had flu last years, never had it before and pitched up at gp as thought i had pneumonia or something I was so ill, eneded up having a week off for that, then another week off for the tonsillitis I got afterwards!!! And wasn't properly well for about six weeks not to mention that my Dp and ds go it too.
HR said i should get it off my gp but they have a policy of ot giving it to anyone not in a high risk group so am stumped.
Just wondering what are other peoples experiences?
