so if you've been a sahm for ages, who would you use as a referee?

I'm applying for teacher training - on the online form, they ask for two referees - one who has known you in a professional catagory...
Trouble is, I fell pregnant with my son a year out of uni in 2000, when I had a receptionist job to pay off my overdraft. I left there after he was born and have been at sahm since.
I have two friends who are teachers who would be willing to be referees.
I also worked briefly as a teaching assistant for about three months in 1999 - I'm thinking of asking the school where I was, but as it was only for a short time and years ago, I'm not sure anyone would even remember me!
My university tutors can't be asked as you have to have been a student within the last five years.
Who do you think I should ask?

Did you have a Saturday job or were you in the girl guides or any Uni clubs ?
If you haven't got refs then you haven't got them, put down character reference.
