Is it okay to claim sick pay from one job and work another

Hi
I am not sure about this.
I am currently unfit to do my job due to a health problem it is very strenuous and really hard work and it is also nightwork.

I have just been offered some bank work somewhere else, this work on the bank I can manage quite easily as it isn,t strenuous and its quite relaxed and easy.
They are unable to offer me a permant position at the moment.
I have been recieving sick pay from my main employer and its unlikely that I will be going back to this job as yet.
I have not done any work on the bank for this other employer as yet as I am unsure if it is okay to do so while I am claiming sick pay off my other job.
It is the govenment sick pay of 75.40 a week and its not the employers own sick scheme as thye don,t have one.
Does anybody know if its okay for me to do this or not as I don,t want to break the law.

No. Definately not OK. If you want to take this new job you will have to resign and cease claiming sick pay.

littlelamb is absolutely CORRECT. It would be fraud

being medically signed off work implies an inability to work.not claim sick and work

know of nhs trust prosecuted nurse for claiming sick from them but still doing agy/bank elsewhere

Thanks I will stay well away until they can offer me a permanent position and I can resign from the other job.
