Why haven't I settled to this job? What is going on?

OK I hate my job...why?

a) Because I have been S/E for 5 yrs plus & being employed is a shock to the system
b) Because I am primarily a childcarer rather than an administrator
c) Because I don't like change
d) Because I am too bossy
e) Because My ME is flaring up
F) Because I just don't like where I am

Well
a) Maybe
b) Surprising but probably true
c) Don't be silly I strive for change, I temped for years
d) Possibly definitely
e) Well it seems to be - could be general stress rather than job stress
f) I am in the planning office - it is a dream job I just don't want to be here

What am I going to do?

Or am I just lazy

Today was easier - but I really think the lights are too much

oh honey, hope you are "just" having a bad day, you're not feeling well, weather's crap and you're not used to being employed by others.
cup of tea and chocolate/crisps/wine time I think, chin up.

Do you think it's because you don't really want to be there Katy? It's not your first choice of jobs is it. If you spend all your time pining for something else then it's going to be hard going and really hard to get into. I'd use this time to find something else that is you. Carry on working to bring in the money but have a think about what else you would enjoy.

It is a temp job so I just have to last until childminding picks up

You need to think of it as a means to an end rather then a somewhere you don't want to be. It's a stop gap, somewhere you are now so that you can learn about you. Find something positive out of the experience, maybe enhancing your communication skill or your administration skill so you can use this in your business. Set goals every week and aim to learn or enhance something new. Anything you can to get through it.
