Question.

Is this classed as a grievance?

I want to hurt him.

Shove it up his nose.

Get him one of these

Warning - Youtube clip - mute might be good

tribpot · 23/08/2008 16:47

Can you use reverse psychology? How about saying "that pen clicking is really soothing and helping me concentrate, could you just try and make sure you stick to a regular 60 clicks per minute though?" (think of a metronome)

combustiblelemon · 23/08/2008 16:57

Wait until he goes to lunch, then take his pen apart and remove the spring. Repeat as necessary before coming to his rescue with a fibre tip.

keeptakingthetablets · 23/08/2008 16:58

LOL, yet shudder - that clip was almost too much!

I'd like to try reverse psychology and come to a reasoned conclusion, but I'm also pretty certain I'd do well with constructive dismissal

I'm scared I'm going to unconsciously start doing it in time with him.

Just go "Oi clicky, give it a rest will ya?"

Straight to the point without being offensive :D

keeptakingthetablets · 29/08/2008 11:24

Addendum:

The other lady sitting closest to Clicky and I are, I think, within three working hours of supergluing his pen to his desk.

If I dare get as far as "Oi, clicky, " I'm worried I won't stop at "give it a rest."

I think you need to say something. This kind of thing could tip you over the edge if pushed and result in you shoving said clicky object where the sun don't shine.
