If I'm on Mat Leave, can i get tax credits?

Before i went on mat leave, i was on good money and i think i earned too much to qualify for tax credits. But now i'm on mat leave and i was wondering if i can get tax credits until i go back to work? I am thinking probably not as DP earns good money so we may still earn too much to qualify.

Does anyone know what the income cap is for tax credits?

Thanx!

Have just seen this in a magazine...
with new baby income15k - £3455
25k-45k - £1090
55k - £755

ring them on 0845 300 3900 to see if you get anything. although they do go on last tax years income.
