Is the organisation merging?

Our organisation had an inspection and has been placed under Embargo.

What does Embargo mean? Would people get made redundant and the organisation have to merge?

I am worried I may need to start looking for a new job a.s.a.p.

What kind of organisation? Is it the inspection report that is embargoed?

The organisation provides services to the public. It is the outcome of organisation they said is under embargo.

It's very common that outcomes are under embargo until written up, passed through internal moderation/quality control etc, or challenged through an appeal. For example, the senior leadership of a school will know the result at the end of the inspection, but parents won't be told until publication. An embargo will apply regardless of whether the outcome is good or bad.

Thanks for the explanation. We have been advised there will be implications. It makes me feel like it isn’t good news.
