Where to go for careers advice

Does anyone who has changed career have any advice on where to go for careers advice. I want put of my current field but I'm struggling to find something that suits. I would be looking for some kind of assessment of strengths/personality and then suggestions of possible career paths that could suit.

Would be willing to do additional professional qualifications but not a university degree.

Try the national careers service- free.

I did try that bit the options I got after doing the test were all very far from anything I could imagine myself doing. One thing they recommended was emergency services but I am totally against any shift work or any weekend work so that option is a hard no.

I was hoping for something a bit more nuanced that takes in to account family circumstances as well and hopefully something where I can discuss options in person with an advisor.

Have you got a degree? Some university careers services will still support their alumni.

Thank you, I do have a degree. I will see if the university can help.
