Hi,

So I wfh for an asbestos consultancy, I've been with them for a year now and they are OK to work for.

Is been mentioned a few times that I'd maybe do HR or move into project coordination. They did put me on a recruitment course that I passed and a part of my job is shortlisting candidates, setting up interviews etc.

But I also do report reviews and booking jobs, I'm on 27k and id like to earn more, they know I want to progress but things get said and nothing comes off it.

I've got a development check in day next week so how would you broach a pay rise and wanting to do more project stuff?

They have also put another lady through her project management qualification so they do do it but I think they see me as less than as I have made a few mistakes and I'm probably not as vocal as I could be in meetings.

Any advice xx

Also just a side note, I've been in admin sector for 15 years, have a lot of experience in administration, have done project coordination in my last job but it wasn't for long as I got made redundant.

Then try and stop making mistakes and speak up a bit more? If you want to progress, you need to make sure that the work you are doing now is up to scratch.

I would say decide what you would like to focus on, and if there is an apprenticeship or qualification you would like to do ask them to put you on it. They will not offer... You need to ask directly
