Civil service interview waiting

just done my civil service interview and this will be my 3rd time and while I did the interview I felt the behaviour was fine, I had 3 behaviours C&I, DAP and MQ. They asked me deliver at pace and Managing quality service about collegues where I helped to a “collegues “ to reach outcome . And I didn’t prepare for the team questions but I had one in mind so I said 2 stories just bit similar and I kept looking at my notes and used filler words. It was HMCTS role and there was 3-6 posts at MoJ website. So I don’t know to feel but not confident. I did use the STAR L method and made sure to say how and why. But I’m not sure and they said they will update me soon but didn’t give exact date .

I got my feed back and for
communicating and influencing I got 4 and Managing a quality service I got 5 and deliver at pace I got 4

and strength I got score 2 and another 2 and 3

total was 20 but they told me I was unsuccessful ? I didn’t get reserved list either. I’m sure 2 is minimum
pass mark so I’m confused and disappointed.

Sorry you’re disappointed. I believe 3 is usually the pass mark for strengths. And for behaviours while 4 is the pass mark it may depend on how many scored higher. Make sure you read any feedback. Better luck next time.

Depending how many people passed with those scores, they may have raised the pass mark. It's not fair, but it happens.

What grade was the role? I’d say it’s unusual to fail the strengths. Did you give very quick answers? How were the strengths questions described to you?
