Tips for managing work emails in Gmail after using Outlook

Help me work with Gmail..

The only work experience I have is with Outlook - and I now have to work with Gmail.

What do you do to keep on top of stuff? I'm used to sorting by sender, and moving into folders and stuff - but Gmail does not have this I think.

Plus we are told to limit mailbix sizes

Google uses labels but it works the same way as folders. Create a new label and then select move to the desired label

Thanks, I was thinking labels might be the way to go. I'll give it a try.
