Two different contracts same employer

hoping for advice. I have a pemanent contract in NHS and want to increase my hours. Employers have since changed their rules for new staff ( based on the service being retendered every 1-2 years) of taking on people as contractors renewable each year to prevent redundancy rights if they lose the service. I am worried about my pension rights and if they can actually do this. The current contract runs to 2028 and I will be 59 that year so its really important I do not mess up my pension now! I have another permanent NHS contract (work 2.5 days in each job) I wanted to give up but wondering now if I just need to stick in there!. thank you

I wasn't aware employers could do this to avoid giving employees rights, if you aren't in a Union speak to UCAS. AI says this using successive fixed-term contracts for longer than four years will automatically convert the worker into a permanent employee unless the practice can be objectively justified
