Retirement age in employment contracts

Is this or something like it a standard clause in employment contracts these days, does anyone know?

The Company does not operate a normal retirement age and therefore you will not be compulsorily retired on reaching a particular age.

Thanks if you can help.

The EU ended default retirement ages, I think at least ten to fifteen years ago. Something not changed in the UK since.

Totally normal unless you are in an occupation such as an airline pilot or judge.

Compulsory retirement ages would be age discrimination contrary to the Equality Act 2010 so are unlawful.
