First HR interview after career change, what questions should I expect?

I'm looking to do a career change into HR and I've had a screening call and have now secured my first interview! The interview will be with the Head of HR and HR adviser but is only for 30 mins. I'm not sure how many stages there are and I was told that there is nothing to prepare in advance, so what type of interview would this be? I can't see this being a competency-based interview if it's only 30 mins, so any idea on what type of questions would be asked?

TIA x

Throw the job description into Gemini, ChatGPT and copilot. Pretend you are the HR manager for that company and ask it to write you 10 interview questions with appropriate answers based on that company's policy/ethos.

Chances are the interviewer will do just that and you'll pick up half an idea about what they will be asking.

If they're aware you've not worked in HR before maybe you should think about what transferrable skills you have from your previous career.

Or anything that overlaps like being involved in internal recruitment.

You could mention why you're interested in the role and the company specifically. Which aspects of HR you have a passion for.

Where you'd like to be in a few years?

what is the role?

Thanks all for your advice! I didn't want to say the specific job title just because I think I wrote quite a lot in my post which could be outing, but it's a HR support role
