Recommendations for smart lunch bags and containers for office commuting

Have a new job and it will be office based x3 a week. Want to try and bring lunches and possibly breakfast too (and snacks!) as often as I can as do not wish to spend ££££ in pret a manger as I used to do in the past.

I only have a few old plastic lunch boxes that I use for food storage in the fridge so am thinking of treating myself to a couple of new containers plus an insulated lunch bag that looks nice and smart and that I can easily fit into my backpack for the commute.

Does anyone have recommendations? What do you normally bring to work and how do you organise it? Will an insulated lunch bag be enough to keep food fresh in public transport or do I also need some small ice packs?

I just bought DD an insulated bag from Fortnum and Mason. I think they do boxes to match. Definitely do a drinks bottle.

Rex London do an insulated lunch box from Dunelm £3.50. Smash do one from Argos £6.00. They seem to do a few of these in various prints.

i like Smash lunch boxes or Sistema ones but i got a 3 pack of different sized plastic boxes from Poundland recently that’s good. Smash does a sandwich sized box, they also do plastic cutlery and some bento boxes have small containers for eg salad dressings.

What I’ve sometimes done is get an ice pack, shove it in a plastic bag with a plastic container of lunch and that keeps it cool.
