New job: what do I need and how to prep?

Starting a new job after almost a decade in the same role. This is the first time I will join a new company at a managerial level so want to be fully ready and make a great first impression.
I have treated myself to a few new pieces for my wardrobe as I think appearance matters (it’s a fairly smart, corporate office and also wearing clothes I like make me feel more confident). Was also thinking of a nice new notebook but do peoplw still use these to take notes? My most recent role was almost fully remote since covid so I have lost perspective of what people do/bring to the office!
I also wanted to start bringing lunches and thinking of investing in a nice lunch box or bottle, any suggestions?
What else?

Black & Blum for lunch boxes/bags.

I'm 45 and I use notebooks at work but none of my younger colleagues do! But I think a new notebook is essential for a new job.

Was just looking at these now! They look very nice. Is the clasp flimsy? I have seen some bad reviews on that. Otherwise I really like the design/shape and size!

I always buy a new notebook and pens for a new job (I also always buy a new waterbottle, i don't know why it's just tradition now 😂)

I'm 46 and still use a note book - i find it quicker than typing and I have a pen with 4 colours so write in different colours depending on what im writing! Office wise, definitely waterbottle and mug. My office we don't have our own desk and have to book one so a nice bag depending on of you will be carrying laptop, charger etc each day. Personally I have a medium size rucksack and put everything in it including lunch so I am not carrying extra bags. Although I have to walk approx mile to office from car park!
