Hello all - would love any experience or advice on return to work courses for Salesforce.
I’m trying to re-enter the job market after 18 years out. I stopped work to have a family and then one of my children had serious health issues which stopped me working outside of home. Then my dad had dementia and I helped care for him. During that time Ive been self employed in two quite different roles which enabled me to work/earn remotely and with flexi hours. My situation is easier now, and I would love to rejoin labour market for last 6 years of my working life. I have many transferable skills and am hard working, conscientious and love working in a team.
I've been applying for jobs without success and now wonder if I should invest my time / cash in a retraining? I've been looking at Microsoft and also Prince2/Agile training. Supermums Salesforce training really appeals. It has also been on my radar for a while and I like that they offer work experience as part of their 6 month training. I think that could be really useful CV builder. I know I will be good once I am in a job, but securing that first step is a big challenge for me!! The course is expensive, but I can fund it and very happy to do that if it helps me re-launch my career and finish with a good 5-6 years of well paid work. I have been job hunting for 4 months and feel I am wasting my time.
Has anyone done this? Any experience would be really good.
Thank you.
