Hi all. I have recently started a clinical management role. I am a clinician within a corporate organisation (not NHS, but major NHS contracts) so I have a non NHS very simple employment contract which doesn’t go much further than my statutory rights.
So it turns out my non clinical counterpart is a text book bully. It’s almost comical - it’s like she’s read the playbook. It’s great because she puts it all in emails (I’ve already learnt not to speak to her without taking notes as she lies -I call her out) but I need to protect myself as her behaviour is downright dangerous.
I think it would be better to join a union so does anyone have any recommendations? I’ve googled and there are a few specifically for clinical management but would much rather have a recommendation.
My own association are a little soft and I need hardball in my pocket.
I’ve managed to keep cool and I am very well supported by my line manager.
