You are either a solicitor or you are not. Is this a qualified solicitor role? If so - hugely depends on job! City of London job - sky high! Criminal duty solicitor - not much!

It does typically mean a junior solicitor. Each firm has its own structure but it will often be something like associate - senior associate - managing associate - partner, or associate - counsel - partner.

Top US/ international huge commercial firm in the city- up to 300k for a senior associate (including bonus etc)

Associate is a pretty meaningless term. In some parts of UK it will mean someone quite experienced. Less so elsewhere.

Associate solicitor is not a junior solicitor.

In my firm, its Solicitor, Senior Solicitor, Associate Solicitor and then Senior Associate Solicitor.

That is an unusual set of titles. I have never come across that before (20+ years in law firms).

OP clearly doesn’t know much about the industry if she doesn’t understand the huge range of salaries a qualified solicitor can have depending on practice area, area of the country, nature of firm etc. as PPs have said.
