Has any author had problems with Goodreads handling review bombing?

Hi i work as a self published author and have had a situation arise on Goodreads that they are unwilling to help with.

I had the misfortune to be review bombed by people who have never read any of my books. Repeated emails to Goodreads, asking for their removal (all reviews from the same day, no verified purchase, clearly against the terms of service/Codes of conduct) resulted in nothing happening, except for Goodreads refusing to talk about the issue further. They then proceeded to ignore subsequent requests for contact.

This amounts to permitting defamation, as far as I can tell. Have I been the only victim of this lack of author care?

I'm looking for other authors who have experienced the same interactions. Please get in contact with me if your career and reputation has been negatively affected (by liars) and if Goodreads has also ignored this in other cases.

Kindly contact me through this post, and I can see about taking further action (as Goodreads continues to do nothing.) It's obviously best if Goodreads protects its authors, particularly as it's an affiliate of Amazon, and may be costing it's parent company money by tolerating these (often political) practices.

Do you know who is doing this and why?

Can you remove your books from good reads and use another platform?

Review bombing on good reads happens even to well known authors using the traditional publishing model, sometimes even before the proofs are released. It’s just an aggregation service open to manipulation by bots and AI and nobody takes it seriously anymore.
