Been trying to find a new second job during the day more but with no joy...hubby recommended to apply for one full time job which i did at local hospital as a admin person...thought nothing of it then got a interview which totally shocked me. Thought i go for a chat nothing lost, short and sweet interview...anyway they offered it to me next day...shock total shock...
Basically panic has set in..im mid 50s i know they going to train me on computers etc but said my customer service experience impressed them...i dont know what to do...its very nerve racking, what if i dont like it or no good at it, am i too old to start again not knowing what to do....it will be mon to friday 8am to 4pm..
Oh god so nervious..i havent handed my notice in as waiting on emoloyment checks will will come back okay...

Do it!! Only regret the things you do not the things you don’t. They wouldn’t have offered you the job if they didn’t think you could handle it and they’ll train you, win win.

Don’t underestimate the skills and experiences you’ve picked up along the way! Some of the best colleagues I’ve worked with have had colourful job histories. Best of luck, OP. I’m sure you’ll be fab.

It's got all confusing..
I handed my notice into my one of my current jobs then two days later changed my mind in a panic, I had a aniexty melt down, and they accepted this as said I'm good worker and didnt want to lose me changed my hours from working thursday mornings to monday .they given me Sundays off and put me into a Tuesday shift..same amount of week day hours..and im still doing my evening job on top of morning job, which is still mon to friday 4pm to 7pm..

What is wrong with me had a major aniexty meltdown...will i be any good, will they keep me on...how will I get on with new people..Will I be missed if I work 8am to 4pm .and not home during the day ? Oh god it's ridiculous I know this..
Ive got go make a decision asap...money is tiny bit more but as I be travelling further it probably even out...so it's cant be for money but quality of life...I am constantly tired not gonna lie but is this my age issues sill this change...
Ive never been like this...is it leaving something I know and been doing gor years to something new?

Any advice please 🙏

It’s just nerves and lack of confidence. They thought you were a good fit for the job and these posts are very competitive. They must have thought you’ll will be great!

Go for the NHS admin job as it’s less physically demanding and hours are better as you get older.

Dont get cold feet, you may not get another opportunity like this.
Good luck
