Applying for a new job

Bit of background: left my last role in an office in 2023. Since then I have been working from home for a data entry / customer service type role. I now need to update my CV as I need to find a new job. Should I be using AI to update my CV or is that still frowned upon?

I wouldn't use it, just get a friend to proof read

Why can’t you use your own brain to update your CV? Don’t you know what you’ve been doing? Doesn’t exactly sound difficult.

lol no it’s not that 🙂 I am in my 40s so have had 20+ years of doing my own CV. I was asking because I have been out of the working world for the past 3 years and wanted to know if expectations have changed since I have been ‘out of the loop’.

Update it yourself showcasing your abilities.

Make it clear and concise. Try to keep it to 2 pages of A4.

Good luck!

Update it yourself and then you can use AI to do things like assess it or spell check it. Don’t get AI to write it for you.
