Hi all,
I work in the NHS as an 8a Ops. Has anyone jumped a band to 8c?
What were your circumstances and how was the transition? Any pointers would be immensely appreciated. I've seen a post that I fit the jd/ps.

I did it at band 2 to 4, so not quite the same but it is possible

NHS? Probably depends whether your face fits at that level.

Yes, 8a to 8c in a clinical profession but I was working in the independent sector inbetween and was able to make the case in supporting statement/interview about how that role bridged the divide.

Is the post in the same trust and same division/role progression?

It’s obviously going to be trickier jumping a band within the same management line trajectory and within the same trust where there is more consistency with AfC banding.

I did 8b to 9 within the same department, but was working significantly above grade at the time

I’ve done it B3 to B5. Non clinical and obviously lower level, so maybe not comparable.
