When to start job

So someone rang me today to ask about start dates, I presumed they would just say start next wednesday but she said whether I wanted to as the pay day lands on 25th and I wouldnt get paid until June (which I dont mind). I then mentioned Ibooked a holiday last year for 8th June and then she said, well start after then if u want too.

I didn't no what to do so I said I call back in morning . Should I start now of wait after my holiday?

Yes thats true, hope it doesnt look bad having to book time off so soon.

They should just honour your holiday. I started a job and was off the following week (had to start at the start of the month). Everything was fine
