Advice on returning to admin after working as a TA

I’m currently working as a TA as works around the family but pay is awful and I really want to get out of education. Come September I’ll only have one DC at primary so want to start looking for another job.
Ideally I want to get back into some sort of admin / finance role however it’s been over 10 years since I last worked in admin and I know a lot has changed and my “skills” are not what they were. Most jobs want experience but I’m obviously lacking.
Has anyone got any advice on what I could do to develop my skills or been in a similar position and can help?!
Many thanks

Start as a school receptionist and update IT skills.

Start as a school receptionist and update IT skills.

I’ve tried as this would be ideal but these jobs seem far and few between.

Look on YouTube for how to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Also look at Google docs versions.

look for charity roles quite often they are hybrid.

An office role in an educational organisation would also work.

Maybe have a look on sites like jobs.ac.uk, the NHS, Guardian Jobs & anywhere that might advertise admin roles & see what sort of qualifications, skills, experience you will need to build up again
