When do I discuss salary? Council..

I am currently a mid band grade 6 in a county council. I have just been given 'outstanding performance' in my annual review thing and am going up another increment.

I have been offered another job in another council, also a grade 6 but for aome reason the salary goes higher than in my current council.

In order to make it worthwhile to move jobs, I need to ask for at least my new increment salary, but ideally another one as there is more responsibility.

Who do I speak to about this? The recruitment person from HR or the team manager? I assume recruitment?

Hay Op so youve been offered the job and have they told you what the salary is they are offering with the job offer?
I would expext chat to be like

You aw thanks but i need to get paid £X to make it work

Or have they not confirmed salary yet? But yes recruitment x

Thank you!
So the job was advertised with a salary range. The team managers interviewed me and one of them called me to offer the job and said it will now go to the recruitment team again.
So I assume you're right and I discuss it with them. I hate all this!
