WFH - desk set up?

I wfh and only go into the office a couple of times a month for meetings/team catch ups, I have a proper desk and chair set up but I am considering getting an electric adjustable standing desk, does anyone have one of these, are they any good?

I have a bit of a shoulder injury (bursitis) and wonder if a standing desk would help with that, I also have an ergonomic mouse rather than the usual kind. Would a standing desk also maybe build some strength in my back/core as I feel I am wasting away sitting all day, even with regular movement breaks.

Yes I love mine. I moved from a retail job to office and couldn't bear sitting down all day, infact I dont sit down when WFH at all now. I did get a squishy fatigue mat though as I felt like I was flattening the carpet stood in 1 place! I only do 1 office day every couple of months and can tell the difference, I get neck ache and feel 'squished up' when I'm sat down all day

I bought a standing riser as it was cheaper, but definitely recommend getting something like that. I don’t often stand to work but I do for meetings. One thing I’d also recommend if you’re standing lots is a pair of indoor trainers because standing on bare feet or slippers might not be great on your knees or feet

Second the trainers idea

i dont WFH often enough to justify a standing desk (few days a month), but both at home & in the office I stand for some meetings (the ones where I have to listen vs do things) & I use the kitchen counter/a bookcase/mantelpiece etc to get the laptop the right height

I prefer to stand up for short periods 20-40 mins a few times a day vs stand a lot, but it’s enough to make a real difference to my back etc

Thanks all, I think that confirms that I should get one 😁
