Is there a particular point in pregnancy that your maternity pay is calculated from?

I ask because I may get a promotion that will mean a 25% pay rise. The promotion will start when I am 24 weeks. My company's maternity package is 6 months full pay but I wonder which pay package they would use - pre or post promotion?

Is there a week in pregnancy that your maternity pay should be calculated on? If so does anyone know what week it is?

IIRC, mine was calculated on the month in which the 15th week before I was due fell in! Talk about making it complicated!
With dd1, this was Christmas and I'm a nurse so I made sure I worked both Christmas day and Boxing day to increase my pay!!

Thanks, that is just what I was looking for.
Bloody complicated though, its giving me a headache just trying to work out what it means!

The 15wks before EDC rule is for Statutory Maternioty Pay.

Check your company scheme rules as they may be different. A lot of companies don't seem to say how it is calculated though, so it would be worth checking with HR. (My company scheme is whatever you are on the day before your M/L starts)
