Jobs for mums

I have a 5 years old boy. He has sen. He is in mainstream. No after school club, no breakfast club, no holiday club. I need to work. My husband works from home. I don't drive. I passed the theory test. I have got a driving exam in August. Hopefully I will pass and I will start to drive.

I need to work. Before I got pregnant I worked in various jobs.

I have biology degree with erasmus training experience. Then I got my pedagogical formation certificate and got some teaching training in high school. Then I could not find a teaching work. I started to do writing jobs because I am good at it. I worked on different websites for 10 years with content and article writing. All of those happened in different country. Then we moved to England and I worked in a cafe for 1 year. Then there was covid and I was pregnant. We moved to West England and we got our son. I did not work for 2,5 years. Then I wanted to go back to work and found a job in a cafe again. I worked for 2,5 years. Then my kid was 4 years old and because there was not a holiday club for my kid (because of sen) I had to quit my job.

Now I am looking for a job that I can do only term time. It may be from 8:30 to 16:30 if it is a good job. My husband willing to help. I registered with agencies to work as a teaching assistant. But they asked for a volunteer work first.

I found some websites about jobs for mums. Did any of you try that?

I am open for remote works but not as a freelancer.

What jobs do mums do?

Look at secondary schools nearby and see if they need any science technicians. Your biology background would make you an ideal candidate and its term time plus one or two weeks only. All secondary schools will have at least one, sometimes several. Downside is it’s poorly paid.
