I’ve been a new job nearly a year. I was working FT for a company and then now back in the main company I was hired for. I’m doing some work which is infrastructure building and trying to add new service lines. I had a call today to discuss some stuff when I was asked to stay on and my boss and his boss said that he had started with someone else and the other one wasn’t pulling their weight and they had to let them go. That it wasn’t a threat or anything but just wanted to mention it ! WTF? Am I being threatened? I got an exceeds in my annual appraisal but seems like they’re laying the groundwork? They have a history of this and I know they’ve lost work recently they’d hoped to win but there are two of us doing a similar role! I am in shock and nothing was recorded or put in writing but I’m not sure what to do next?
