Worried about losing my job

So I’m embarrassed writing this so please don’t judge me.

I have worked for a small company for 4 years, I have a feeling that is going to close and I don’t drive and have 3 young children, I live in a small village so without driving things are hard to get to or find jobs, I don’t have much support family wise for my 3 children and husband couldn’t support fully in his wage.. I’m not sure what I’m asking for reassurance things aren’t a worrying as I feel they are.. I just don’t know how I am going to get a job that will work around the children without being able to drive. I know the company is struggling massively and it’s looking quite bleak.. but to me I’m spiralling and I’m a super anxious person anyway.. just wanted some sort of reassurance instead of worrying myself sick.

Thank you for listening

Might you get some redundancy? Try and stay in the present moment and not worry about the future

I think so I get paid weekly so
i think I get 4 weeks pay maybe which isn’t a huge amount.. I don’t even know how that works, if the company closed, I guess they wouldn’t have money to pay and surely
inwiukd have to wait without anything? X

Is there a reason you don’t drive, OP?

When I was young someone I knew died in a horrific accident and it reallt just shook me so much that I couldn’t face it, I know that sounds silly.. I just couldn’t get past my anxiety to it.. which is stupid as I passenger in a car still extremely anxious..

I am losing my job this month and have worked there for four years. My redundancy works out to 4 weeks pay. I think if your company are unable to pay then you claim from the government instead.
Go onto one of the online benefit calculators to see what you may get when you have no earnings. If you have paid NI contributions over the past 2-3 years then at the very least you will be eligible to claim £92 a week Contributions based job seekers allowance. I was planning to claim this but have fortunately found another job although much less hours and pay.
You are not alone op many many people are losing jobs . My friend was telling me half her team are losing their jobs, only the pregnant ones are protected and the rest have to re-apply for one of two jobs. It's awful out there at the moment.

Doesn’t sound silly at all, OP. Very sorry for your loss and that experience.

Not dismissing that for a moment, and just trying to be practical, so is it something you could attempt to learn?
