Am currently recruiting an HR Advisor (its really an administrator but hey, ho) as my current incumbent is leaving me!!

I'm trying to think of a couple of scenario-based written exercises to allow the candidate to demonstrate that they understand the wider-reaching implications of the admin task. Nothing too stressful. I just need someone who takes accountability and understands the importance of disciplined administration processes.

So far, I've come up with:

No contract of employment on file
Written Warning paperwork missing

Can you think of any good ones?

salary increases not notified to pension administrators
references not chased up
medical questionnaires not filed
patterns of sickness absence not noticed

erm...can't think of more just now!
