Second stage interview..

Hello!

I did a second stage interview yesterday for a charity and had to do a presentation. I felt it went well, but you can never tell! They told me how the final stage interview would go as it would be face to face, and they also said they would tell me if I got through this morning/today.

I’ve not heard anything 😬 My gut is is telling me I would have heard by now?!

I wouldn't worry till it's been a week.

If they said they would let you know tomorrow then it may mean you are a back up option. They don't want to tell you no in case their first choice doesn't work out.

It’s meant to be today that they told me…I think that potentially they are seeing if their first option is interested before asking me. So yes I’m the back up option probably 🙃 not sure I would want the role then.

Well they clearly liked you enough not to say no. I'd be happy enough with that!

Hey, well the charity retracted the job offer based on my references. All were fine apart from my most recent reference where my manager said I didn’t do a good job. I explained to the charity that I worked part time and their expectations were that I do a full time job in a part time position (15 hours a week) which I repeatedly told them was unachievable. They are a tiny marketing agency who don’t follow things by the book and make their own rules up! I’m bloody fuming! I was only there for 6 months. So I think I’m going to have to remove it from my CV.

I was concerned about the charity tbh. So I may have dodged a bullet, they interrogated a past referee over the phone for 30 minutes. Sent them a job description over so I think it might have been a tough environment to work in. But still so angry.
